Lindy Hop is the original swing dance from the 1930s and 40s, full of rhythm, personality, and pure fun. Over five weeks, you’ll learn the essential steps, rhythms, and partner skills that bring this iconic dance to life. Whether you’re brand new or already dancing, this series opens the door to a whole new world of movement and musicality.

What This Class Is

A fun, supportive series that introduces you to the foundations of Lindy Hop. Each week builds on the last, giving you time to learn the 8‑count basics, partner connection, and the signature moves that make Lindy Hop feel so joyful. With a smaller group and two experienced instructors, you’ll get clear guidance, personal feedback, and lots of time to practice.

What you'll learn

  • 8‑count basics — The foundational rhythm that powers Lindy Hop.

  • Swing Out fundamentals — The heart and soul of the dance, broken down step by step.

  • Classic Lindy Hop moves — Fun, iconic patterns that build your vocabulary.

  • Partner connection — How to lead, follow, and move comfortably together.

  • Mixing 6‑count + 8‑count — How to blend rhythms smoothly on the social floor.

Who this class is for

  • Dancers who have completed Intro to Swing Dancing.

  • Leads and follows with solid fundamentals from Jive, ECS, WCS, Latin, or Ballroom.

  • Dancers who have been social dancing regularly for the past 3–6 months.

  • Anyone excited to learn Lindy Hop and already comfortable with basic rhythm, partnering, and triple-steps.

Includes the Beginner Drop‑In class + Sunday social dance each week.
