Community Promotion & Solicitation Policy

We work hard to keep our classes and dances welcoming, social, and focused on fun. To help maintain that atmosphere, we ask everyone to follow a few simple guidelines around promotion and community announcements.

Respect the social space

We don’t allow direct or unapproved solicitation during classes or social dances. People come to dance, relax, and connect — not to feel like they’re being sold to — so we keep the floor free from sales activity unless we’ve agreed to it ahead of time.

Supporting the wider dance community

We’re happy to help spread the word about:

visiting or well‑known teachers coming to Calgary
major events that contribute to the swing dance community
events that don’t conflict with our own programming

Overlapping Classes

To avoid confusing our students, we typically don’t promote classes that teach the same curriculum we offer at Sunny City Swing.
